Meet the Animals

If you come across an injured animal that needs help or want to surrender an animal contact us.  We do not take house pets as we are a working farm and having our animals in their natural habitat is very important.

Boris is only with us September 2023. He came from Tallaght after he was brought home as a family pet to live in a house. Boris didn't settle very well so we contacted the farmer and took his two brothers to keep him company and now they are living a pigs life! He was so excited when they arrived but has made it known "HE" is the boss.

The Clondalkin 15 as we named them are 15 baby chicks which we rescued from Clondalkin in summer 2021.  The couple day old chicks were taken away from their mothers from the canal in Dublin as part of a teenage trend at the time using them on tictoc for photos.  They were on the dart, in kids bedrooms and even brought to school. We hand fed them and now you can see in the video there are thriving.  You will find them at their new pond or chilling in the fairy garden where they stay at night.

Lilly & Lady are mother and daughter which we took in from the ISPCA in December 2021. Lilly was so underweight that they did not know initially she was pregnant.  Lilly's Hooves were so severely overgrown and it has taken almost a year with a very committed farrier who has worked wonders with her.  They have the run of the farm and are doing very well.  With Lilly being so old we took Bessy in for company and the three of them are getting on great!

Our goats came to us in late 2021 from a milking factory which was closing down. They are a mixture of breeds but they get on very well together. They have been a challenge with their health but thankfully we were able to get on top of this. They are Gráinne’s favourite animals and follow her everywhere but for Chris it has been a bit of challenge trying to keep them in!!  They really are escape artists but the most loveable animal to have around. They are fantastic at keeping the nettles, grass and weeds at bay which is very important on an organic farm.
